Today we welcomed Cafod to run our whole school assembly. The children learnt about the importance of clean water and how many people Cafod have helped access this vital resource.
Some of the children were chosen to recreate a typical water journey that children overseas have to do up to 3 times per day.
The buckets were carried on their shoulders at times.
Lily in Year 6 said "the buckets got heavier, the journey got quite boring."
The children found out that a well for for a community costs £750 and currently the Uk Government is match funding £ for £. The children are currently thinking of ways,we as a community, can support this cause.
