WORKING TOGETHER FOR THE GOOD OF THE SCHOOL

At St John Fisher Catholic Primary School we have a very active and busy Parent Teacher Association (PTA). They organise fun activities, and successfully raise invaluable funds which help to improve the quality of the school overall.

The ultimate aim of the PTA is to improve and enhance our school facilities for both the children and staff. There are PTA members representing children in every school year. As you can see from the list below there is always something going on. The PTA respond to requests for events and it really is wonderful to see the children having fun at the events and enjoying using a piece of new equipment that the PTA has helped fund.

The PTA raises money through fun events:

Christmas Fayre

Discos

After school activities

Cakes Sales

Quiz Evenings

Popcorn Night

Afternoon Teas and Cake Sales

Summer Fete

Organises a large group trip to the Panto at The Alban Arena

Christmas Cards - your child designs their card and you raise money for the school

Organises Family Photo Shoot Days

Bags2School - Donate textiles, collection is weighed and school gets a cheque

The PTA spends the money raised to enhance our children's education:

Junior Playground Equipment
Y1 outside storage facilities
New IT equipment, Laptops
All weather surface for our outside classroom
Picnic Table
Maths programmes

The PTA helps the school

The PTA has established a supportive and friendly community which benefits the school

How can you help

Join us

The PTA always welcome new members. Being on the PTA is a great way to become more involved in school life and also a great way to meet new parents and other teachers at St John Fisher.  Please let us know if you would like to get involved (stjohnfisherpta@hotmail.com), it is generally a lot of fun!

Donations

There are other opportunities open to help us raise money. Donations are extremely important. These can be time, money, items for sale, donations for raffles, baking skills and more. To find out more, or if you think you can help, please speak with a member of the PTA or come along to a meeting to see what happens.
