Year Five

Dear Parents,

Welcome to Year 5. I hope that your child has settled into the new class without too many difficulties. Here are a few details that you may find useful.

The children need to bring in their book bags every day. Every child should have a painting overall in school.

Homework should be recorded in their Homework diary.

Reading at home is still considered to be very important. Therefore the children should continue to read both their reading books and school library books each week. When no specific homework has been set, children are expected to read for at least 20 minutes and record this in their reading record.

There will be times when a child is unable to complete a homework for a whole host of legitimate reasons. Please reassure your child that I will be very understanding and that they should not worry.
