Our Learning Experiences

ArtWe have started our painting unit. We explored the artist Patrick Heron and have created our own versions of his work.

RE- We have revisited the schools core values, to remind us what we as a school expect from all children. We created posters to help the younger children understand what each statement means.

PE- We have been learning how to be a good sportsman/ sportswoman. We have completed bench ball in a friendly manner.

Crucial Crew- Year six, went on their first school trip of the year to the London Road fire station. We spent the afternoon looking at different scenarios and learning how to deal with them in an appropriate way.

Priest Visit - We welcomed Father Michael to our class. He discussed what God has done to help us and how he doesn't expect anything in return.

Mini Police- We had a visit from PCOS Chris. We are embarking on the Mini Police programme.

Mental Health Week- During the week, we have had many pause points to focus on our mental wellbeing. We have enjoyed doing a range of different activities such as doodling, colouring and word searches.

Number Day- We have enjoyed taking part in the NSPCC number day. We enjoyed adding all the numbers we wore to school together. In Year 6 we added up to 15587.14. We also took part in maths mystery where we had to use our maths skills to find out who had done the crime. Then to top the day of we took part in the TTRS battle against Year 3,4 and 5.

Science- In our topic of Electricity we have tested different fruits and vegetables to see if they are able to conduct electricity in a complete circuit. We were surprised my the results!

Extracurricular- The Ollie Foundation came in for a whole school performance. Year 6 took part in a magic workshop in the afternoon.

Design Technology- We have created and made our own Easter boxes for Easter sweets. Our target audience for the boxes were children.
